DAY 1 – YOUR ARRIVAL DAY
Arrive In the Aurora Airport in Guatemala City, where you will be met by Rods & Reels’ bilingual guide, who will escort you to your private vehicle to take you down to your choice of hotel on the Pacific Coast, 1 ½ hours away. En route, enjoy the spectacular volcanic scenery on this short journey. If you fly in early, why not pass through Antigua and have a delicious lunch at the famous Santo Domingo Hotel.
DAY 2, 3 & 4 – FISHING DAYS
After a hearty breakfast you will be driven to the marina to meet your Captain and crew and depart shortly after for a fantastic days fishing. A delicious lunch, drinks and snacks will be provided on board. The local delicacy of expertly prepared ceviche made from freshly caught dorado or tuna. Dare to swim close up with a sailfish. On your return to the hotel, swim, relax and swap fishing yarns over drinks and a gourmet dinner.
LAST DAY & NIGHT
Depart in the evening to either Guatemala Cty or to the beautiful colonial UNESCO world heritage town of Antigua to spend your last night. Enjoy a bit of sightseeing and fly home the next day having had the fishing vacation of a lifetime!
WHAT IS INCLUDED:
- English speaking guide to pick up at airport
- Transfer between Guatemala City and the hotel either in Antigua or on the coast
- 3 nights at the hotel of your choice on the pacific coast, including breakfast and lunch. (open bar available upon request)
- 1 night of hotel in either Antigua or Guatemala City
- Transfers from your accommodation to the marina and back
- 3 full days fishing on boat with experienced crew including conventional & fly tackle (one free fly), bait, sodas, beer, lunch, fruit and snacks
- Guatemalan room taxes
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED:
- International airfare arriving and departing Guatemala
- Gratuities to hotel staff, Boat Captains, porters, Guides
- Personal expenses, including dinners
- Any extra flies used (first fly free)
- An extra day of inshore fishing for roosterfish/mackerel, snapper, snook
- Guided private tours to Antigua, Tikal, Lake Atitlan or Chichicastenango markets
- Golf (less than an hour away)
- Travel Insurance (Recommended)
PRIVATE PLANE AND HELICOPTER OPTION
Helicopters and Private planes are also available upon request to take you from Guatemala City down to the Pacific Coast, or anywhere else. Please request prices to Rods & Reels Sportfishing Co. (Not included in prices listed below)
